Although I find something favorable about every season, spring brings out a special feeling for me. I don’t know if it is the return of daylight, the change to a warmer temperature or all the flowers and trees that are awaken and blossoms, that bring out this feeling. The combination maybe? Or the sence of new beginnings, starring over?

Swiffer likes to cuddle, but only on his terms (he is a cat after all).
He is up all night and sleeps most of the day.
Swiffer enjoys having an overview, the higher the better!
And the best part, coming home to someone sitting in the window waiting for you!
Do you have any pets?
I walk around a lot. Taking it all in. Looking for pretty things that I just have to capture. Lock in. Save for later.
After trees, my favorite thing to photograph is houses. Especially the colorful ones.
Picturing what it is like living there. Making up stories about the people living there now. What are they like? Are they happy there?
One day I see myself living in a house with a lot of charm and history. With a magnificent backyard, where a grand old tree is decorated with light bulbs and a swing. What’s your dream-house like?
The weather this weekend has been amazing. Today my only plan was GET OUT & ENJOY THE SUN, so I grabbed my boyfriend and went out for a long walk to the Harbour of Oslo and back. Here are some photos:
Back home we were starving and decided to make foccacia and aioli. Tasted pretty good!

This weekend was Girls-weekend, I got on the train with some good friends and headed to Gothenburg, Sweden. Here we enjoyed ourselves BIG TIME!

February is cold and windy. Snowy. Days are getting longer, the warmth from the sun is slowly returning.
Occationally I challenge the cold weather, and walk home from work.
The walk takes 20 minutes, but I usually use more time, taking pictures, admiring the scenary, feeling the wind to my face, breathing in the fresh air.
Tough days for the ducks. I guess I’m not the only one looking forward to spring time.
I love love love cupcakes and am always eager to try out new recipes. This weekend I tried making Red Velvet Cupcakes for the first time.
No baking without a little mess!

Life is full of small pleasures, everyday I find things to smile about. Lately, this made me smile:
#Waking up to a city covered in SNOW.
#Spending my days with people that gets me, inspires me and impresses me.
#Getting an email from my aunt, discovering that she learned how to insert smileys and pictures.
#Planning my BFs’ birthday, and seeing his reaction.
#Getting the longest text message from my brother. Telling me he is doing fine, and sharing his experiences from the army.
#Eat buns and talk about everything – Laugh and cry – with my sister.
#Discovering a new route home from work. Going crazy taking pictures, freezing my hands off.
What makes you smile?
This weekend I’m visiting my favorite aunt at Lillyhammer, a small town in the middle of Norway.
It is so nice to get a break from the day-to-day life: drink wine, play in the snow, hang out at a cafe for hour and hours and talk about everything. You can never get enough of good times with good people! 🙂

I just love the light in January. After a couple of dark months, it is nice to see that the days are getting longer and brighter. And the colors on the sky are so beautiful!
